Carl F Petersen Ltd. was originally established as a wholly owned subsidiary of the Danish, family owned, Carl F Group.
The UK company began trading in 1989, becoming the group's first company operating outside of Denmark, serving the PVC-u replacement window and door industry. This remains our core market and our principal activity, although now with the addition of 'Carl F direct', a direct mail and e-commerce business, the company has diversified into the broader 'light construction industry'.
Carl F offers a range of products including door hardware, window hardware and ventilation. We aim to deliver the best collection of leading brands available to suit customers’ needs and reach a high level of satisfaction.
In January 2007, the bulk of the Carl F Group was sold to Sanistål, Denmark’s leading wholesaler within HVAC, water and drainage, steel and metals, service vehicle interiors, tools and machinery. In late 2008 and 2009, it became clear that Sanistål needed to concentrate their efforts on their core businesses and on 30th October 2009, the UK company was sold to Tommico Ltd., already the owner of Groupco Ltd.
Carl F’s success at providing high quality hardware products backed by excellent service has been recognised by Tommico and the new investment is set to move the company forward in its third decade of trading. Under the new ownership, Carl F will combine forces with Groupco, creating an organisation that is a major industry player.

Carl F direct is a trading name of Carl F Petersen Ltd. Carl F direct operates as a direct mail and e-commerce business. Product ranges include power tools, bits/blades/abrasives, hand tools, measuring equipment, clothing and footwear, health and safety, maintenance, ventilation and ladders.
