Carl F Petersen Ltd. was originally established as a wholly owned subsidiary of the Danish, family owned, Carl F Group.
In January 2007, the bulk of the group was acquired by Sanistål, a large company, with some shared products and activities. Some of the original Carl F business has been integrated into Sanistål. All business outside Denmark has been formed into a distinct company, Carl F International, with subsidiaries or regional offices in 15 countries around the world.
Carl F Petersen Ltd. was first established in the UK in 1989, becoming the group's first company operating outside of Denmark, to serve the PVC-u replacement window and door industry. This remains our core market and our principal activity, although now with the addition of Carl F direct, a direct mail and e-commerce business, the company has diversified into the broader 'light construction industry'.
Carl F offers a range of products including door hardware, window hardware and ventilation. We aim to deliver the best collection of leading brands available to suit customer's needs and reach a high level of satisfaction.
Sanistål is Denmark's leading wholesaler within HVAC, water and drainage, steel and metals, electrical technology, service vehicle interior, tools, machinery, technical products, and Carl F products. From more than 50 branches in Denmark 2,300 enthusiastic employees serve Danish industrial and handicraft companies with products, know-how and service concepts. The Sanistål Group is represented in more than 40 countries all over the world. The 2006 group turnover totalled EUR650.000.000.
After Sanistål acquisition of Carl F in January 2007 work has been carried out to integrate the two companies to benefit all customers.
