How to install your cylinder + Video
Firstly you need to remove your existing cylinder:
1. Open Door
2. Select screw and remove
This is the screw which fastens the cylinder to the door lock.
It can be located on the faceplate of the lock when the door is in the open position,
in line with the lower part of the cylinder.
The screw is generally 40mm or longer. (Please see diagram)
3. Insert your key into the cylinder
*Depending on the handing of the door,
turn the key from 12 o'clock to either 11 o’clock or 1 o’clock.
This will align the cylinder and allow it to be removed. (Please see diagram)
4. Remove the cylinder
Wiggle the cylinder and gently pull towards yourself and the cylinder should become free.
To install the replacement cylinder, simply repeat step 3 and insert back into the hole and then fasten the screw to secure it in place..
** Some doors may require you to remove your handle prior to this..
Simply remove the fixing screws on the inside of the handle and remove the handle to gain access to the cylinder.
Replace once new cylinder has been fitted. Ensure screws are securely fastened again.
