New Sales Co-ordinators for Carl F

Leanne Johnson and Lucy Tugwell have joined Carl F Petersen as sales co-ordinators. The girls, who both have existing sales experience, will support the distribution of hardware products and Carl F direct, the on-line tool and accessories shop.

Carl F's latest recruits will provide internal 'back-up' for the company's field sales team, handle customer enquiries and process orders. Additionally, Leanne and Lucy will maintain telephone contact with customers and provide follow up marketing activity.

Selected for their passion for sales and dedication for providing excellent customer service, Leanne and Lucy will report to Vicky Lindsay, Sales Office Manager. Extensive product, sales and system training will be provided.

Carl F's Green Scheme

Following an idea posted in the company’s suggestion box, Carl F Petersen has introduced a green scheme. Specially designed containers placed strategically in Carl F’s warehouse, sales and administration offices make it easy for staff to recycle paper, card and plastic.

The company reports that the initiative has been a major success – by pre-sorting waste, associated disposal costs have been reduced by 50%.

Carl F strengthens marketing team

A new recruit to Carl F Petersen Ltd’s marketing department has strengthened the team and is enabling the company to further develop its e-commerce activities. With a degree in Marketing Management, Clare White (pictured right) will focus on Web communications. She will also support Carl F Direct, the on-line tools and accessories service.

Emma Anderson, who joined Carl F’s marketing department in February 08, will concentrate her activity on promotional work for the company. Emma’s role includes managing Carl F’s promotional campaign and developing / maintaining the company’s literature portfolio.

Bruce Bradshaw, who has worked for Carl F for thirteen years, will continue in his management and strategy role for the marketing department. Bruce has significantly contributed to expansion of the company’s hardware supply business and was instrumental in the formation of Carl F direct.

The Carl F Petersen Charity Paddlers

For the second year in succession, representatives from Carl F braved the waters of the River Nene to enter a charity dragon boat race.

Seventeen people from the company, including Managing Director John Crittenden and Business Development Manager Bruce Bradshaw, paddled the 250 metre course three times to raise money for their local air ambulance.

Commenting, MD John Crittenden said: "I was delighted to see that so many people from Carl F were prepared to give up their Sunday for charity. It was an excellent day both from the perspective of team building and for the monies we will raise - we are currently collecting donations and are optimistic that we will exceed £1,000."

Special offers for tools and accessories on the Carl F direct Web site are attracting growing numbers of installers to visit the Carl F direct on-line shop.

Work trousers, drills and screwdrivers have been among the discounted products with many lines reduced by over a third off list prices.

Based on the success of promotions to date, Carl F is set to introduce weekly offers across all product ranges including power/hand tools, measuring equipment, clothing/footwear, health & safety products, ladders and ventilation lines.
