You need to know:

The type of handle you need –lever/lever, lever/ moving pad or lever/fixed pad

The distance between the centre of the cylinder and the centre of the spindle normally 92 or 70mm

The colour or finish you want , white, black, silver, gold, polished brass or polished chrome

What hand (if appropriate)

The back plate dimensions and the screw positions on your existing handle
